FAQs
Do you use the flowers from the bridal bouquet?
If the bride would like her bouquet to be preserved in a work of art, it will be used, as well as flowers from the bridal party and centerpieces. If the bouquet is not available, the artist can purchase the wedding flowers at the customer’s expense and create the collage with them.
How should the flowers be kept until the artist receives them?
It is best if the flowers are received by the artist within 24 hours of the event – however they can be pressed up to 48 hours after as long as they are kept dry and cool. One of the most important aspects of maintaining the blooms is keeping them dry and cool. DO NOT place flowers in the refrigerator as this creates moisture on the blooms. DO KEEP flowers in a cool dry place in a vase or cup of water until delivery.
What if I need to ship you the flowers?
To mail flowers, place them in an inexpensive Styrofoam cooler after wrapping the bottom of the stems with wet paper towel then covering that bottom section with plastic wrap. Use tissue paper or bubble wrap to keep the blooms from being crushed. Place the cooler inside of a box – if it doesn’t fit snuggly, use paper/bubble wrap to secure it. Clearly mark the box as fragile, not to be crushed or stacked upon. Choose a delivery method that will get the flowers to the artist in Vermont, USA within 48 hours.
